Molly’s World

Hi! I’m Molly Pendergast, a storyteller and enthusiastic communications professional.

I first learned the value of stories in rural Prince Edward Island. Growing up in a small community, my family, friends, and neighbours were masters of telling. According to legend, my first sentence was "More 'bout that," which translated to "Tell me more about that." It was fitting for someone who would pursue a career in communications.

In 2019, I received a Bachelor of Journalism and a minor in History from Carleton University. From there, I found my way to Humber College's Faculty of Media & Creative Arts. In 2022, I completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations.

I am passionate about helping people to make the right decisions and say the right things. Seeing firsthand the difference that thoughtful communication can make inspires me each day.

In my spare time, you can find me thrifting, listening to yacht rock, and eating baked goods.

Audio

Since discovering the podcast medium, I have spent many hours with headphones in my ears, listening to shows like This American Life, Someone Knows Something, and Terrible, Thanks for Asking. Their ability to transport the listener to a moment in time has inspired me, and I try to channel that in the audio pieces I create.

Writing

From feature articles about intergenerational swing dancing clubs to magazine pieces about historic places across the country, I enjoy giving a platform to quirky stories that matter.

Communications

With a passion for plain language, I love helping organizations create a variety of effective communications products that resonate with their audiences.
